Michael McAtavey, Founder
Michael has more than 15 years’ experience providing strategic guidance to institutional investors, founders and senior executives at large companies.
He began his career in investment banking and private equity, analyzing direct investments in early stage companies across a range of industries including healthcare, medical devices, telecoms, technology and digital media.
Michael also managed a direct investment portfolio of over $1 billion in AUM, where he was responsible for valuing privately held, early stage companies with limited financial records, and successfully defending those valuations to external auditors from the Big Four.
More recently, Michael has worked with legacy brands like The Economist, Time and FORTUNE to develop new revenue streams in a fast-changing media environment, pioneering Enterprise partnerships with brands like Prudential, Bank of America, MasterCard and more.
Michael has an MBA from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, and a BA from the University of New Hampshire.
